Custom culinary training programs

Access to a custom culinary training program designed to support plant-based culinary skill development, marketing, and take rate of plant-based items offered.

Ongoing consultation & hands-on support

Following completion of the training or recipe development, the HSUS team will meet with your team to discuss implementation, including ideas for recipes, menus, marketing and more.

Custom recipes & menu development

The HSUS team of chefs will work with your menu development team to create custom plant-based recipe concepts with specific ingredients, cost, and nutritionals in mind, based on your needs. This resource is only available to food service management companies.

Marketing, promotion & website recognition

The HSUS team offers templates and assistance for developing marketing materials and strategies to showcase your plant-based options. This includes but is not limited to website recognition, social media posts and press releases.

Environmental impact measurement

The HSUS environmental scientist can assess the greenhouse gas emissions impact of your menu, before and after any changes have been implemented to help you see the positive impact your changes are having on your sustainability goals.

Educational materials & workshops

The HSUS food service innovation program has a wide range of educational materials about the many benefits of plant-based eating and can host an informative session for you and your team.

Who is the Forward Food Pledge for?

The Forward Food Pledge is for any individual college, university, K-12 school or school district, healthcare institution or hospital, or food service management company that is interested in working with us to increase plant-based menu items.

What plant-forward commitment do I have to make if I sign the Forward Food Pledge?

By signing the Forward Food Pledge, you are committing to transitioning at least 33% of your meat based entrees to plant based entrees annually through the end of 2027.

What information would I have to provide?

Participating institutions will need to provide the number of meals served per day. Additionally, every 6 months we will request an updated percent of plant-based options served to track progress. Lastly, every 12 months we will request purchasing data to track progress.

Does this cost anything to participate?

No, all of our services are 100% free.
